Meet Tshogofatso Nkhumeleng
Tshogofatso Nkhumeleng, known as I.N.I., grew up in Soweto and began his artistic journey at Sapebuso Secondary School under the mentorship of John Vusi Mfupi.
In 2009, he won his first Webber Wentzel art competition and exhibited at the Joburg Art Fair. He contributed to the FIFA World Cup 2010 mural project, participated in exhibitions at Emadwaleni High School, and was influenced by artist Nkosana Ngobese.
He later studied printmaking at Artist Proof Studio, participated in group exhibitions in Cape Town and Strauss & Co., and interned at APS.
Now a gallery technician, his work explores life's struggles through intricate patterns, rats symbolising perseverance, and chess representing strategy and decision-making.
